Our dedicated and passionate volunteers are at the core of everything we do. Without volunteers, the Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank would not be able to provide food resources and other essentials to the many hungry and needy recipients each week. Many times companies, civic organizations, places of worship and students come to the Food Bank for great team-building opportunities. There is always something to be done.

Highlighted today are the ‘Tres Amigos’ that each volunteer on average 30 hours a week. They are faithful, hardworking and lots of fun too. Luis is often called upon to facilitate group activities, Arturo is the overseer of gleaning fruits and vegetables, and Jorge is our utility man that helps all-around ensuring pallets are properly prepared for shipping and food resources are stored.

No way could the Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank assist as many individuals and organizations without such dedication. In each case, these men, each in their own words expressed the common theme that “No one should go hungry” and they give back to make a positive difference. Kudos to our heroes that serve unselfishly so others can have fresh fruits, vegetables, and other food resources available for their families.
