Lanwu is part of a family of five. She was a first time recipient of the Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank community outreaches through The House, a Church Family. Actually, she is a neighbor whom we see almost every day with a smile on her face. She was surprised to find a familiar face among the many volunteers handing out produce, bread, and other food items—Pastor Manny from The House. She does not speak much but you can see her overflowing joy for the generosity she receives from the people whom she just met for the first time.

The renowned servant of the Lord, Saint Francis of Assisi said: “Preach the Gospel and if necessary use words.” We believe what St. Francis was saying is that your love in action is one of the greatest tools that Jesus can use to reach out to others with the Gospel. Of course, we at The House use words too. Under the leadership of Pastor Paul Kim, we at The House are grateful for the Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank for more than five years of continuous supply of blessing to this food pantry ministry.
