Rock of the Valley, with the Food Bank’s help, serves 100 families each week

The cost of living has skyrocketed within the last year, and as a result many people are struggling to buy groceries. Others have become homeless and are trying to maintain with little access to life’s basic need, food. Rock of The Valley Missions’ department vision is assure “basic needs are met” for people in all communities. Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank has been a blessing and extremely instrumental in helping us to achieve our vision.

We are currently serving an average of 100 families per week. Upon receiving food from Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank, we set aside sandwiches and other foods that are easily accessible for people who are homeless. We prepare and deliver boxes for several disabled and non-mobile individuals. Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank donates diapers, baby food, formula and newborn kits, which helps us meet the needs of parents with babies. Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank also donates basic toiletries and cleaning items such as shampoos for men and women, laundry detergent and deodorizers, as well as essential clothing items such as socks.

Geo became a committed volunteer over two years ago. He is a part of the homeless community. “I love contributing to the community while at the same time feeling like I am earning my keep,” Geo said. “While others look at me all weird and turn their heads, Rock of The Valley Missions have welcomed me with open arms and shown me love.”

We serve a powerful and mighty God that has orchestrated our partnership with Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank. Rock of The Valley thanks each and every person at Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank for their time and effort in helping us to help others. We give all of the honor and all of glory to our Lord Christ Jesus, Hallelujah Amen!
