Thankful for God’s Healing
Alejandra has been partaking of the food distribution in her community. She initially started coming for the food, and over time, began to develop relationships with the volunteers. She noted how loving the volunteers were and how full of faith they were in everything they did.
When her husband, Sirelo, slipped into a coma after having a heart attack, she knew exactly where to go for prayer and encouragement. Despite the heartache and trials that came with her husband’s sudden illness, Alejandra was able to make her way to food distribution. There she encountered a team of volunteers who prayed for Sirelo’s complete healing. Alejandra was thankful for the encouragement.
Several months passed by with no sign of Sirelo or Alejandra. Then just as the food distribution was wrapping up on a warm September morning, the volunteers saw a familiar face. Alejandra rushed up to the distribution with a smile on her face, but she was not alone. By her side, was her husband Sirelo. Alejandra told the volunteers that she knew God healed Sirelo and they were there that morning to thank them for their prayers.
Now Sirelo and Alejandra spend their days going around sharing their story, praying and encouraging others within their community. She said there were not enough words to thank the Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank and their supporters for their generous donations. Without the continued support, she would not be able to have food on her table and her husband by her side. Both are thankful this season of God’s healing and provision.
