Since learning about the New Hope Church food pantry in downtown Van Nuys a few months ago, Richard has visited four times. Because Richard is retired and on a fixed income, food security has been a challenge for him and his family of three.

However, Richard expresses gratitude for the Rescue Mission Alliance Valley Food Bank and its donors for the fresh fruits, vegetables, and other groceries he has received that allow him and his family to meet their monthly needs. Richard is also grateful for the pantry’s offerings, as it allows him to share groceries with some of his neighbors who experience similar challenges with food security.
