She and her husband are able to stay on top of bills with this food supplement

Monica started visiting the pantry at La Voz Sylmar Seventh-Day Adventist Church about six months ago when her hours were cut at work. She was so worried about how they would make it, how she could continue helping her husband with food, rent, and any other things that would come up.

One day, Monica was walking with her children and saw a line of people waiting. She  approached the group and asked what they were waiting for. One of the volunteers told her that the line was for food. It’s free and plentiful, so bring something you can carry it home with, she told Monica.

Since she lives nearby, Monica went home to get her wagon. She now returns weekly and said she feels blessed by the help from the pantry. “Thank you to the Valley Food Bank and all of its donors,” she said.
