Leony uses pantry giveaways to supplement her family’s meals

Leony

Leony was all smiles as a first-time participant in the food pantry run by The House, a Church Family. She said she is so grateful for this food distribution ministry that helps her and others who are just trying to make ends meet.

“I was very fortunate to see the ‘Free Food’ sign along Tampa Avenue and Londelius Street in Northridge,” said Leony, who was on her way to work caring for an elderly woman. Leony shared that she goes to a regular food distribution center in San Fernando Valley but was delighted to see one
such food pantry along her way to work. “Times are tough trying to feed my family (my husband and two children) and these food supplements will surely help our resources.” Leony also mentioned that she intended to share some of the items she received with friends experiencing economic challenges.

She was delighted to see some items that can be stored for a couple of weeks, along with varieties of bread, vegetables, milk and fruits.
