For some it has been eight years, others their first year volunteering at the Valley Food Bank. They work as a team—some have specific tasks that they enjoy doing, others fill-in wherever they are needed—but all have a passion to ensure good, nutritious food resources are processed and distributed to those in the greatest need.
Some of our team members are professionals, others are retired, and many just make time on their busy schedules to lend a hand each week. We could not process the more than $9 million worth of donated food resources without these dedicated, passionate partners. They are never looking for recognition, and are often embarrassed when introduced to other groups extolling their labor of love. Our volunteers are a valued and essential component that makes possible serving thousands upon thousands of people throughout the year.
