Veteran is grateful he happened upon Common Grounds pantry

John enjoyed a hot lunch and took a food box home.

John, a 72-year-old veteran, was on the bus and noticed a lot of activity at Reseda United Methodist Church. He decided to stop by one day, and was glad he did, as he felt very welcomed to the Kingdom Common Grounds Food Pantry.

John enjoyed a hot lunch and fellowship before coming out to the church courtyard where he was able to choose food from a wide selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dry foods and grains donated from the Valley Food Bank.

John served in the National Guard and was called for active duty for four years in Vietnam as a Military Policeman and then recalled for active duty another four years in Vietnam. He was honored as Best Soldier in his unit just a few months ago and received a beautiful wristwatch commemorating his service.

The Kingdom Common Grounds Food Pantry is blessed to receive support from the RMA Valley Food Bank, which helps to feed, nourish, and care for their veterans and community.
